Crestone Films is a small production company located in Crestone, Colorado, and well-known for Buddhist-themed documentaries. Director Mark Elliott, who helms Crestone Films, shot the highly influential, “The Lion’s Roar”, in the 1980’s, an early film to look deeply into Tibetan Buddhist culture. Since then Mark and Crestone Films continue to make insightful, long-form documentaries about figures such as Dilgo Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche and the 17th Karmapa.
With the launch of Yangsi the Movie, we built them an attractive, informationally rich web site for the film that was used as a platform for grass roots marketing. Crestone Films itself also needed a home on the web, and we designed Crestone Films to feature all of Mark’s work as well as his on-going output of interviews, clips, and other media related to his projects and observations.
